On Thursday,  28th December members of our club cooked a BBQ for the people attending the City of Holdfast Bay Proclamation Day Ceremony at the Old Gum Tree.  This was an annual event in which our club works very closely with the City of Holdfast Bay.

The Old Gum Tree is a historic site in Glenelg North, South Australia. Near this tree on 28 December 1836, the British Governor John Hindmarsh delivered the proclamation creating the Colony of South Australia. A ceremony is held each year at the site on Proclamation Day, with the current Governor reading out Hindmarsh's original speech.

Thank you to Brenton Tiver for organising the day and to his team of hard workers who supported the day. It was another successful event for the club.
