Supporting Australian Rotary Health

On Monday, 8th October, some of our members and partners met at Club Marion for a Hat Day Meeting. Hat Day is a Rotary initiative to raise awareness and funds for Mental Health Research.

Some strange, innovative and all elegant, of course, headwear made the evening great fun.

You can see some of the pictures bellow.

All profits from this event were donated to Australian Rotary Health and the Club usually added more to make the final amount a substantial donation.

The second Friday in October each year is Hat Day, the national fundraising and awareness day where you wear a hat and make a donation to help shine a light on mental illness in Australia.

100% of money raised on the day goes to research into helping those affected by depression, anxiety, schizophrenia and many other illnesses. Hat Day is the largest fundraising initiative undertaken by Australian Rotary Health.
