Our meeting on Monday, 17th September was a farewell to Alba Rodrigues.  Alba was in Australia on a New Generation Service Exchange. She had spent half her time with the Rotary Club of Onkaparinga and the other part with our club. While she was here Alba, who is a veterinarian  specialising in exotic animals, spent time learning about the Australian fauna.  She is particularly interested in birds and reptiles. She spent time in Queensland and Melbourne with vets who specialise in these fields.

Alba also spent time on Kangaroo Island as a guest of Roger  and Lynne Trethewey and was taken sailing through the Coorong by David and Pam Binks. Thank you goes to  Judy Shipp who hosted Alba; we could not find better and more deserving mum.

We welcomed many guests to the evening:
PDG Bob Cooper;   David Binks, Chair NGSE Committee and Pam Binks;  Raelene Donnell,  Rotary Club of Morphett Vale;  Bill and Sarah Walsh, Rotary Club of Glenelg;  Marian and Louise Lesnicki,  Rotary Club of Onkaparinga;  Peter Young and Barbara Day-Brinkley ,  Rotary Club of Onkaparinga ;  Roger and Lynne Trethewey,  Rotary club of Coromandel Valley;  Damien Leech,  Rotary Club of Campbelltown.  Partners and guests of our members also attended.

Alba gave us an interesting talk on her experiences here.
